Students enrolled in the Graduate Program in Mathematical and Computational Modeling must pass a foreign language proficiency examination by the 12th (twelfth) month of the Master’s program and by the 18th (eighteenth) month of the Doctoral program. The examination must be administered by UNIJUÍ or by another institution/institute officially accredited for this purpose by the official funding agencies responsible for Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Brazil.

For Master’s students, the foreign language proficiency examination must necessarily be in English.

For Doctoral students, the foreign language proficiency examination must be taken in two foreign languages, one of which must necessarily be English.

Successful completion of the proficiency examination will be recorded in the student’s academic transcript.

Doctoral students may request recognition of a foreign language proficiency examination taken during their Master’s program.

The foreign languages accepted by the Program for the purpose of demonstrating proficiency are: German, Spanish, French, English, and Italian.

Foreign applicants from non-Portuguese-speaking countries must have sufficient knowledge of Portuguese to follow the program of study.
