Foreign Language Proficiency

The Master’s student must, prior to the Dissertation Defense Committee, and the Doctoral student, prior to the Thesis Defense Committee, have passed, respectively, in one and two proficiency examinations in a foreign language, administered either by the responsible Department at Unijuí or by an external institute officially accredited for this purpose by the official funding agencies for Graduate Programs in the country.

The approval in the foreign language proficiency examination must be, respectively, in one or two of the following languages: German, Spanish, French, English, and Italian.

Foreign applicants from non-Portuguese-speaking countries must demonstrate proficiency in Portuguese by passing a proficiency exam administered by the Department of Humanities and Education (DHE) at UNIJUÍ or by another institution accredited for this purpose.
